State Cross Country:

Congratulations to Riley Y and Sadie E, who competed at the Victorian State Cross Country Championships at Yarra Glen Race Course last Thursday. We are so proud of your efforts, racing against students from all over the state. The races had approximately 80 – 100 competitors and Riley finished 21st in his age group and Sadie finished 16th. What a top effort at an elite level!

Division Netball Finals:

We would like to wish our Division Netball finalists all the best for tomorrow as they head off to Maroondah Nets to compete against other schools in our Division for a chance to progress to the Regional Finals. CHPS are cheering for you!

3-6 House Athletics Carnival:

One of our early major sporting events coming up in Term 3 is the 3-6 House Athletics Carnival out at Yarra Ranges Athletics Track. In order for this event to go ahead, we require the assistance of parent volunteers to help the day run smoothly. If you are able to assist, please email laura.yorke@education.vic.gov.au

Date: Friday 7th August

Time: 9:30am-2:30pm

The event is now on compass for families to consent and pay for. Thank you.

Reminders:

Running Club:

Running club is on again this term and a great opportunity for P-2 students to start preparing for their House Cross Country in Term 4.

Days: Mondays & Wednesdays

Time: 8:45am

Location: Middle Turf oval

Options: 1km run around school with house captains or laps of the running track.

All year levels welcome 😊

Injuries and Illness:

Please email your PE teacher if your child is injured or sick and unable to participate in their PE lesson. This is to support student participation and modify any activities so no further injury occurs.
