Principal's Message

Mr Adam Beilken

Dear Parents, Caregivers, and School Community,

It is hard to believe that we are 2 and a half weeks into the last term of the year. It was fantastic to see the Emus class take on the Tough Stuff 4km challenge in the first week of term. The students also participated in Mentally Healthy events in the first week. I must thank Mrs Karen Rogers, Mrs Hayley Grant and Mr Grahame Walker for organising the activities that took place during this week. Thank you also to all of the community members who attended the community lunch on Thursday 26 October.

Planning for 2026

Kindergarten enrolments for 2026 are still open. We currently have 14 students enrolled for 2026, leaving space for only 6 more children. If you or someone you know has a child turning four before 30 June 2026, please visit the office to collect an enrolment pack.

The administration team is well into planning for the 2026 academic year. If you are looking to leave Marangaroo Primary School at the end of the year, can you please inform the school as soon as possible. This will enable us to identify classroom structures and plan for staff placement.

Interschool Athletics Carnival

Last Friday, Marangaroo hosted the interschool athletics carnival. Despite the rain, the event ran smoothly and had fantastic participation and sportsmanship from all of the schools. Marangaroo finished in fourth position, and I saw some fantastic results from our students when I was watching the competition. Thank you to all of the students that represented Marangaroo and to Mr Lee for coordination of the day.

City of Wanneroo Mayor’s Christmas Appeal

The City of Wanneroo is looking to support community members facing hardship in the holiday season. Marangaroo Primary school has a red donation bin which is located inside of the Administration building. School community members can drop off non-perishable food, clothes, toys and living essentials into the collection bin. This will be collected by the City of Wanneroo on Monday 25 November and will be distributed to those in need.

Safely Crossing Giralt Road

I had a conversation last week with the crosswalk attendant that some students are not safely crossing Giralt Road. If students need to cross over Giralt Road, it is important that they use the crosswalk attendant.

Save the Date – Book Award Assembly and Graduation

This year’s book award assembly will be held on Tuesday 9 December. This assembly will start at 9.00am in the undercover area. All classes will perform an item before the awards are presented. The theme of the event will be showcasing songs throughout the decades.

The Year 6 graduation ceremony will take place on Wednesday 17 December. This ceremony will start at 9.00am in the undercover area. Once completed the Year 6 graduates and their families will be invited to a morning tea in the library. The students will then head out to Swan Valley Laser Corps for an excursion. All students and teachers will be attending this year’s graduation ceremony.

World Teachers' Day

This Friday, we celebrate World Teachers’ Day, a special opportunity to recognise the incredible dedication, care, and expertise of our teachers. At Marangaroo Primary School, we are fortunate to have a team of educators who go above and beyond every day to inspire curiosity, nurture growth, and support the wellbeing of every child.
