Mental Health Community Lunch

On Thursday 16 October we invited parents, grandparents and older siblings to join their children for lunch. The P&C supplied a wonderful lunch special, which many people enjoyed. We had outside agencies to talk to parents and offering support. The staff were visible wearing an array of coloured tutus, which was part of their weeklong activities. Thank you for the continuing support of all parties involved in another successful day.

Mental Health Week 2025 - Staff Fun

During Mental Health week, the staff had some fun each day. Mad Monday was, wear your favourite t-shirt. Great way to start the term. Superhero day was on the Tuesday with a few different looks appearing. Wacky Wednesday was a day of spots, stripes, bold colours anything that didn't match. Thursday was the community lunch, so a bright array of tutus were on display for our school community. Freaky Friday was a challenge day, drinking from a container other than a cup or mug. We had some creative choices. The staff enjoyed the week, and we hope you got to see some of our antics.

Until next year, Health and Wellbeing Team.

Tough Stuff - Year 5/6 Emus

We would like to say Congratulations to our Year 5/6 Emus for participating in the zero2hero Tough Stuff 4km Run on Thursday 16th October 2025! We were so very proud of them all, not only participating in the Tough Stuff 8-week program, but also in their amazing efforts in the 4km run in addition to helping coordinate, prepare and pack away the event.

We are so very grateful for our Tough Stuff Program facilitators Hayley, Rosie and the Tough Stuff Crew in not only supporting the students in the 4km run but also in developing our student's wonderful knowledge and skills with them in their toolkit for life. We appreciate their inclusivity and supporting our access to this wonderful program.

A big shout out to Janet, Tough Stuff Program Manager, for selecting our school and supporting our engagement in the program for 2 years. Thanks to the Emus achievement with staff and parent support, zero2hero would love to come back next year and run the Tough Stuff program again! Let’s go for the threepeat.

The Emus were amazing in their efforts which they couldn't have done without the wonderful support of Mr T (Emus’ classroom teacher), Mr Walker (School Chaplain), Mr Lee (Physical education specialist), Ms Haigh (Health Education Specialist) for enthusiastically embracing the program throughout Term 3 with our electrifying team of EA's of Ms Carly and Mrs Sheperd. A special shout out to our additional fabulous ground crew support on the day including, Mrs Barr and Ms V. Thank you to Mr Beilken and Mrs Boardman for supporting the students in their run, with Mr Beilken role modelling how to run the whole 4km! We are also thankful to our admin team for supporting the coordination of it.

Thank you to our Emus parents, grandparents, carers and caregivers for supporting the participation of our students.

Thank you to all of the wonderful support of all Marangaroo Primary School staff and students who made special growth mindset posters to cheer them as they did the laps around the oval. The students were so excited about their achievement and the support they received, a wonderful way to celebrate Mental Health week.
