Friday morning saw our students come to school with beautiful hairstyles and winning smiles as they prepared for school photos day! It was so nice to see our Year 6’s with the same hair style as they did when they started in Foundation 6 years ago.

On Monday our Year 5/6 students headed off to Portsea Surf Camp for their annual camp! The children were so excited Monday morning - I think some children packed for a month!

The weather did turn on Monday but they still managed to have a good swim. Tuesday saw the clouds part, revealing a beautiful blue sky and a nice mild day.

The activities included:

  • Snorkeling
  • Paddleboarding
  • Orienteering
  • Swimming
  • Sandcastle building
  • Beach Games
  • Night hike
  • Disco

Harmony Day

Harmony Day this year is on Saturday, 21 March. Harmony Day is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. It is  about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.

Tomorrow we celebrate Harmony Day, where we can wear a touch of orange to celebrate our diversity, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. The children will take part in a family group activity, which will be displayed in the hall. The following Thursday, we are having an African Drumming Troupe as our first whole school incursion.

House Cross Country

Our school cross country is on Monday. Children are welcome to wear their house colours in their hair and/or socks. Due to the pool being built we have had to change the route of the run.

We would love some parents to volunteer to help man the track and direct the children around the track.

It's our favourite time of the year!!  We would love you to support our annual Easter Raffle.

It would be greatly appreciated if each family could send in a donation by Monday 30 March!

Let's make Tracey disappear behind a wall of Easter goodies.  The more donations we receive the more prizes we will have for our raffle draw on Thursday 2nd April.   If you would like more raffle tickets - pop by the office.

Get your thinking bonnets on! We would like you all to create an Easter bonnet to wear on Monday 30 March. We will have an Easter Bonnet parade at 8.45am so the bonnets do not get damaged.  Mums, Dads, little brothers and sisters - feel free to come along to our parade in your Easter bonnets too!

Yours in partnership.
