Year 6 HSIE Taster Session! 🌟

Our future historians and geographers had an exciting introduction to Stage 4 HSIE at MCHF today! Students explored what History and Geography look like in high school - from the structure of the subjects, to key topics, expectations, and the inquiry skills they’ll develop.

To finish off an exciting session of immersion in high-school HSIE learning with Mr Tran, Miss Zaiter and Miss Esaid, students took part in a hands-on archaeological dig, uncovering artefacts and investigating how we learn about the past.

We loved welcoming our Year 6 visitors and can’t wait to officially welcome them to high school in 2026!

Kindy red ordinal numbers

Kindy Red have been busy exploring ordinal numbers in the most exciting way!

Students raced to write their numbers from 1 to 20, and once they finished, the fun really began. Each child checked the board to see which ordinal position they placed—1st, 2nd, 3rd, all the way down the line! With lots of laughter, quick thinking and clever number writing, Kindy Red learned that being first, fifth or even tenth is all part of understanding ordinal order. What a fantastic way to learn and play!

Year 6 Graduation

On Thursday 5th December, our Year 6 students marked an important milestone as they celebrated their Graduation — a moment that recognises their hard work, growth, and achievements throughout their primary years. Surrounded by proud families, teachers, and friends, students reflected on their learning journey and the memories that have shaped them into the confident young people they are today.

The ceremony was filled with gratitude, joy, and excitement as we acknowledged each student’s unique contribution to our school community. As they prepare to embark on their secondary school adventure, we wish our Year 6 cohort every success. May they continue to shine, lead with kindness, and carry forward the values they have learnt during their time with us.

Congratulations to the Class of 2025! 🎓✨

Secondary Academic Awards Presentation

On Tuesday, 9th December 2025, MCHF celebrated the academic achievements of students in Years 7-11 for 2025. The Secondary Hall was filled with excited students, proud parents, and delighted teachers coming together to celebrate these achievements. It was fantastic to see so many students striving for excellence, and I am excited to see what 2026 brings. A special thank you to Ms Carlos and Mr Asmar for their assistance in coordinating the assembly, the IT team for live streaming it, and to all teachers and Leaders of Learning who worked tirelessly to ensure marks were in on time. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank parents who work closely with us to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for their children.
