Fresh Food Fair Wristbands for Rides On Sale Now
All parents will find a charge has been placed on their parent portal in Compass. This gives you the opportunity to purchase wristbands at the earlybird price of $40 school age and $20 for Preschool age.
The eldest child in each family will have brougt home a green order form. This order form is for siblings, friends or relatives and can be returned to the office with payment.
Early bird prices finish on Thursday 5th November, after that they are full price and available from the ticket booth on the day of the Fair.
Surfside students who purchase an early bird priced wristband will have their band placed on their wrist just before the fair begins. All wristbands preordered for sibling, friends and relatives can be collected from the ticket booth.

Friday Lunch Orders are here – Set Up Flexischools Today!
Our new Friday lunch order service with Groove Café has begun and has been a roaring success. To ensure you are set up to place your orders, we encourage families to set up their Flexischools account.
What is Flexischools?
Flexischools is Australia's leading online school ordering platform, making it easy to order and pay for your child's school lunches using your phone or computer.
With Flexischools you can:
- Order your child's lunch by Wednesday afternoon for Friday delivery and future Fridays.
- Manage multiple children from one account.
- Pay securely without needing cash.
If you already have a Flexischools account from another school, simply add Surfside Primary School to your existing account.
Flexischools app, which can be downloaded from the AppStore (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).

Working With Children's Check
We recommend that all parents apply for a Working With Children's card. The volunteer cards are free and can be completed online.
If you have a current WWCC or are applying for one, please bring your card to our office so that we can record your number and complete the quick, 5 minute induction.
This enables you to attend any excursions and school events for 2026.
The Induction is required each year and is recommended to be done in 1st term.
Student Attendance
A reminder if your child/children are having a partial day off school, (late arrival or early departure), please don't enter it onto Compass via your Parent Portal.
Instead you only need to do it when you drop them off or pick them up from school, here at the office.
If a partial day absence is entered via your Compass Parent Portal and then again when you come to the office, via our sign in/sign out Kiosk, it will double up and create an unexplained absence on your child's attendance records.
All partial day absences need to be logged via our school office Kiosk system.
Only full day/days absences can be done successfully via your Compass Parent Portal.

School Hours
Classes Start at 8:45am and Classes Finish at 3:15pm
Recess 10:45-11:20am and Lunch 1:15-2:15pm
Please ensure your child/children are at school prior to 8:45am. Students should not arrive before 8.30am and need to be collected by 3.30pm as this is when the school is supervised.
All students who arrive late must sign in at the office and take a late pass to the teacher.
Students leaving early must be signed out by a parent at the office.
If your child is leaving school early could you please email the class teacher, giving a time that you would like your child to be at the office ready for pick up. Unfortunately we are unable to call students over the intercom, unless it is recess, lunchtime or from 3pm.
Labelling Personal Items
Please check that your child’s school uniform & all lunch containers have their names clearly marked on them. We often have a lot of unnamed items in our lost property basket that could easily be returned to their rightful owners if they were named!
Our lost property basket is located at the front of our office if you need to take a look.

Al orders are delivered to our office free of charge and will be given to the students at the end of the day or parents can collect them.
