From the Classroom

Foundation Symmetrical Butterflies
This week, students consolidated their understanding of symmetry through a hands-on painting activity where they explored how paint can be transferred and mirrored to create matching patterns, and were able to recognise that a line of symmetry divides an object into two similar halves. They experimented with colour mixing and paint application to create a symmetrical butterfly artwork using acrylic paint and the blot painting technique.
Something that is symmetrical is "same on both sides!"
