What's Been Happening Around Wembley 

Curriculum Day: SMART Goals and Responsive Teaching

On Friday 8th May, all Wembley Primary School staff came together for a whole-school Curriculum Day focused on strengthening our practice in responsive teaching and the development of SMART goals in Writing.

Throughout the day, teaching teams collaborated alongside our Education Support staff, highlighting the shared responsibility we all hold in supporting student learning and growth. Staff engaged in professional reading and professional learning to deepen their understanding of how targeted goal-setting can drive improved outcomes for students. Teams then worked collaboratively to analyse student needs and design targeted Writing SMART goals that will guide teaching and learning across the school throughout the year. 

The day was a valuable opportunity for staff to reflect, collaborate and strengthen our collective approach to improving student outcomes in Writing. We thank all staff for their thoughtful engagement and commitment to continuous improvement in teaching and learning at Wembley Primary School.
