Grade 4C's Research Expedition through Oceania, Africa and South America
Grade 4C have been busy applying the school value of Curiosity, for their Geography unit this term! They started off learning about Australia and its geographical features, including states and territories, capital cities, rivers, and mountains. They also spent time exploring how First Nations peoples connect to Country, and why that means something very different to just landmarks and territories. Country includes people, animals, nature, and stories.
Now the Grade 4s have moved outwards to complete group research on Oceania, Africa, and South America, choosing one country from each continent to research. So far they've been researching capital cities, national leaders, famous landmarks, cuisine, currency, languages, population, and flags.
Before setting off, they created their own passports and will gain a stamp for every country they research. They are keen to share what they have learnt on their adventure
