A message from the Principal Team

Dear Armstrong Creek Community,

(Prinicipal Jess Kelly)

A wonderfully warm welcome back to Term 3 for you all. As always, we have had a terrific start and I've been so impressed with how the students have started back. Whilst a short term (9 weeks), we still have much happening! I'm excited for what this term will bring. Please reach out to our team for anything you need.

We are pleased to announce that Ricky P and Hayley F have been selected as our Secondary School Captains for Semester 2. Congratulations on this achievement. We look forward to your leadership contributions to our school community.

Huge congratulations to Ziggy Brack who today competed in the state cross country championships. Ziggy ran an amazing race and finished 5th which has qualified for the national championships later this year. Ziggy is the first student in ACS history to qualify for the National Championships.

Sports Pathways Program – Trial Launch Across Primary and Secondary

This term, Armstrong Creek School is launching an exciting new Sports Pathways Program, with trial groups running in both Year 5 (Primary) and across the Secondary School.

The program is designed to engage students in a range of learning experiences focused on sport, fitness, teamwork, leadership, and personal development. While the Primary trial explores foundational skills, healthy habits, and mindset, the Secondary trial includes specialised sessions in sports coaching, fitness development, leadership, and vocational training, supporting students to explore potential pathways in the sport and recreation industry.

These trials involve a small group of selected students in the initial phase. If your child is selected to participate, you will receive a direct email from the PE team with further details.

If your child is not part of this trial, please know that this does not mean they won’t have opportunities to be involved in future stages as the program expands over time.

The Sports Pathways Program reflects our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing, confidence, and future-focused learning through sport at Armstrong Creek School.

Event Date Reminders

A reminder to parents and caregivers to check the Whole School Events/Dates section of each newsletter for any updates or changes to event dates across all year levels.

While we aim to minimise changes, adjustments are sometimes necessary due to booking availability or unforeseen circumstances.

Please note: Book Week has now been moved to Week 8 (as advised via Compass Newsfeed).

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.
