PRINCIPAL UPDATE 

Good afternoon,

Just over three weeks to go!!!

Chilwell Fair Friday March 20th, 4-9pm

Key information was sent home in students school bags last Friday in regard to what we can do in the lead up to the Fair.  Please ensure the checklist is on the fridge to tick off.

Eldest students in each family will bring home an envelope this week with more information.  This will include raffle tickets and flyers.  Please help us by popping some flyers into neighbour’s letterboxes, promoting our event.

School Photos take place this Friday, along with whole school photo next Tuesday 3rd March.  

There is a lot happening at the moment with excursions, incursions, local walks along with up-and-coming NAPLAN assessments for Grade 3 and 5. Please keep an eye out on Compass to ensure you are approving events and making note of calendar dates etc.

A reminder that next Friday March 6th is a Curriculum Day, whereby staff will be undertaking the final day of their Berry St training.  No students will be in attendance on this day and Team Kids are offering a full day of service.  Monday 9th March is Labour Day Public Holiday, and again school will be closed.

The remaining Curriculum Days for 2026 are as follows and were approved by School Council last Monday evening.

Friday May 8th

Monday November 9th 

Friday December 18th.
