Term 4
As we make our way towards the end of the year it is a great time to reflect on the growth and progress of our students. We take great pride in seeing the academic, social and emotional development that has taken place over the course of the school year. In Term 4, we begin to prepare our students for the upcoming year ahead with the aim to set them up for success, no matter the setting. This term, we have many events planned, including our primary swimming program, Specialist Expo, Year 6 and Year 9 Graduations along with end of year celebrations for each year level.
Morrisby Interviews
In the coming weeks at the College our Year 9 students will participate in the Morrisby Career Consultations. The Department of Education gives every Victorian Government school student free access to the world-leading Morrisby online career education tool. This process helps students make informed choices for senior secondary school and beyond by exploring their strengths, interests and career opportunities. The ‘My Career Insights’ program pairs student’s Morrisby profile with a free expert career consultant. We look forward to our Year 9’s exploring their future pathways.
Year 7 Information evening and Orientation
On Tuesday 7th October we held an information evening for all new and existing families who have a child beginning in Year 7 at Brookside College in 2026. The information evening was held online via Webex and provided our Year 6 students with important information ready for next year. Following on from this meeting, Mr Thompson, Mrs Gillis and Mrs Newitt have conducted transition meetings with our new students joining us in 2026. We are very excited to welcome them to Brookside, beginning with our Orientation Day happening on Tuesday 9th December.
