Brooke's Message
Hello parents & carers,
Well… we made it. PHEW!
As we reach the end of Term 3, it is fair to say that this has been a term like no other.
Like many schools, we have faced some significant challenges this term, including staffing shortages and absences that have required flexibility, patience and teamwork across our entire school community. But as usual, our staff have managed to keep their focus on supporting our students.
Every day, we have seen our students continue to learn, connect, communicate, laugh, participate and grow. They have demonstrated resilience, determination and joy, and they continue to remind us why the work we do is so important.
None of this happens by accident. It happens because of the incredible support of our staff, families and carers working together to create positive learning experiences for our students. We would like to sincerely thank our families and carers for their ongoing commitment they show towards our staffing community throughout the term. Teachers, Education Support Staff, Allied Health professionals, specialist teachers, administration teams, facilities staff and leaders have all worked tirelessly to ensure that our students remained supported, engaged and successful at school. And most importantly, we have continued to place our students at the centre of everything we do.
This week we have celebrated RUOK though out the school, the Student Engagement Team organised activities to promote this important message. The messages highlighted were to build trust and support networks with people we feel comfortable reaching out to in times of need. And meaningful conversations should happen all year, this Day is just to highlight the importance.
We have also had Birthday Celebrations for Bunji, he turned 5! Students were asked to write him a note, design a T-shirt, decorate a balloon or cookie for him. The students have really put a lot of effort into this activity.
Staff have begun the process at looking at class placements for next year, as usual we will be taking student voice into consideration when designing these classes. Towards the end of Term 4 we will have “Step Up ‘sessions where students will have the opportunity to meet their new teacher.
As we head into the holiday break, we hope that all of our students and families have the opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy some special time together.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back for Term 4, refreshed and ready for another exciting term of learning, growth and connection.
