Child Safety

Our highest priority

Child Safe Standard 10 – Our Commitment to Child Safety

At Resurrection School, keeping children safe is everyone’s responsibility. We are committed to creating a school environment where every child feels safe, respected, heard and supported.

Child Safe Standard 10 focuses on implementing our Child Safety and Wellbeing Policy, procedures and practices. This means we regularly review the way we work to ensure child safety remains at the heart of everything we do.

As a school community, we:

  • listen to children and take their concerns seriously
  • provide clear processes for raising concerns and making complaints
  • ensure staff understand their responsibilities for child safety
  • regularly review our policies, procedures and practices
  • create an environment where children feel comfortable speaking up
  • work in partnership with families to promote the safety and wellbeing of every child.

Child safety is not just about having policies in place—it is about what we do every day. Every staff member, student, family and volunteer has a role to play in creating a safe and welcoming environment.

We encourage our families to talk with their children about feeling safe, speaking up when something doesn’t feel right, and knowing which trusted adults they can turn to for help.

Together, we can continue to build a culture where every child is safe, valued and empowered to speak up.
