A Night in Italy - Trivia Night Fundraiser

What a night! Our community came together for an evening filled with laughter, fun, and energy/buzz. New friendships were formed, old ones strengthened, and true to form, the St Bede’s parent community proved once again that we are a lively and social bunch!

Guests arrived to the aroma of fresh pizza cooked by Little Naples Pizzeria and shared antipasti platters…delicious! While enjoying the food, there was plenty of time to catch up, mingle, and grab those last minute raffle tickets.

The trivia itself was on Kahoot, hosted by the wonderful Tony Emmanouil, bringing both laughter and nerves as speed and accuracy determined each table’s points and position on the ladder. The competition was fierce! Congratulations go to team VINO who dominated by winning three out of the four rounds. Your quick thinking and wit were unmatched!

Our wonderful host, Tony, kept the energy high all evening, including during one of the fastest and most entertaining live auctions we’ve ever seen! With prizes generously donated by Ontime Concepts, Viewhill Car Hire, Zagame, Woodards Manningham (with Hilton Queen St), Verve Portraits, and Grafico, the bidding was certainly spirited. A highlight was the head-to-head battle for Grafico’s “Consult and Spend with Damian Corney” prize, ending with Damian himself offering an additional prize so both bidders walked away winners. An incredible moment of generosity that lifted both spirits and funds! Thank you.

The silent auction also created plenty of excitement. Even with a brief technical hiccup when the AirAuctioneer server went down, extra time was granted, ensuring everyone had a fair shot at their final bids.

The raffle added more thrills, with the ultimate prize, a year’s worth of school fees, going to the Mariano family. Congratulations!

Thanks to the combined success of the live auction, raffle, silent auction, and ticket sales we raised just shy of $18,000 ($17,800) exceeding our goal for the night! What a fantastic achievement for our community.
