This term, the Highvale Robotics Club took part in three competitions, where students from Years 7 to 10 put their engineering skills to the test against teams from other schools. These competitions challenge students to design robots capable of solving complex tasks in a collaborative game. This year, students must catapult balls at targets, collect rings on mobile goals, and climb scaffolding all with robots of their own design. The club is student-led, encouraging members to work together and tackle problems independently.
We are incredibly proud of all our students who competed and would like to give special recognition to two of our teams for their outstanding performances:
- Team F (Hudson M., Aaron J., Charlie D., Ethan M., Jake F., Daniel M.) achieved a 1st place qualifier and a 3rd place finish at Copperfield College.
- Team A (Guillem C., Yuna L., Darshini N., Max W., Ashmeet D., Jay N.) achieved a 4th place qualifier and a 4th place finish at Copperfield College.
Congratulations also to our junior club members (Marcus W., Reyansh K., Tennyson C., Maximus L., Vincent L., Cameron M., Hudson F.), who narrowly missed qualifying for the finals at Berwick College.
All our teams have demonstrated outstanding performance this term. We now eagerly look forward to the Nationals Qualifier in Term 4, where we hope to earn a spot at the Sydney Nationals!
