Division athletics 

On Friday 23rd of August, approximately 130 students across all year levels represented our college in the Division athletics event held at Bill Sewart Athletics track. Thirteen Highvale students from various year levels won events against their competitors from Glen Waverley, Vermont and Mount Waverley Secondary Colleges, including the Girls Under 17 4x100m relay team. As a result, these students will go on to compete at the Eastern Metropolitan region athletics event on October 9th at Doncaster Athletics track. Highvale also had three individual age group champions who were Syrus O., Jaslene O., and William M. These students won multiple events and accumulated the most points for their respective age groups. A great achievement by all. Congratulations to all our competitors for representing the college with great pride.

Region events

We have a number of interschool teams and athletes who will compete in EMR region competitions next term. Well done to these teams for progressing through to this stage, where they will compete against the best schools in the Eastern Metropolitan Region.

• 8th October – Intermediate boys hockey
• 9th October – Region Athletics
• 28th October – Year 8 boys volleyball
• 30th October – Intermediate boys table tennis
• 31st October – Year 7 boys cricket
