Clare's message........

Good afternoon Families,

Learning Expos- WOW! Were you blown away when you visited your child's class and listened and saw them present their learning from Term 3? I was. Every child who presented to me showed confidence, engagement, articulation and growth.  Parents can certainly feel proud of just how much every child is progressing. It's a privilege working with the staff here at St Luke's. Their commitment and determination to make a difference, to help every child flourish and to ensure learning remains dynamic and engaging is wonderful. 

What fun we had at last Friday's Father's Day breakfast. The hall was full by 8 am and the food was eagerly consumed. The noise was deafening and l really had to use my best crowd management skills to get everyone's attention. It was great seeing dads enter with a paper plane poking out from a pocket and the kids loved having a pre-launch practice session down the back of the hall. Thanks again to all the staff who helped set up, serve and clean up afterwards. The display is up in the student entry. Make sure you stop by and have a look; there are some very interesting and innovative designs.

Thank you also to our P&F who ran a very successful Father's day stall. The children loved looking, thinking about and finally selecting that 'just right' gift for their dads, grandads or special male. Mums and Dads, rest assured our kids love to shop.

It has been pleasing to see we are off to a great start with families completing the 2026 MACSSIS survey. We definitely want to surpass last year's great response of 45 families participating. Staff and children in Years 4 to 6 will also be completing the survey. Please support our school by completing it too, if you haven't already. Your feedback helps us make school improvements in all aspects of school life. We're aiming to get at least another

A huge shout out to Liam and Judah- Asher's dad and brother- who splashed a second coat of paint on the maze in the sensory garden. What a beautiful act of kindness... and it looks... aMAZEing!

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to all of the children who sang, danced, flipped and flopped, cracked a joke, played an instrument, made us laugh and gasp in admiration AND thoroughly entertained us for two full hours. You are all superstars. To the lovely Mrs Underhill who pulled it all together from start to finish- thank you. To the Year 6 stage crew- great effort and to the families who were able to join us, thank-you. We love just how much St Luke's (kid's) Got Talent!

As always, it was an absolute pleasure having morning tea with our Semester Two SRC group. Thank you to Clem, Sophie, Reuben, Alexandros, Sophia and Aidan who are already doing a great job as SRC reps. We look forward to you building student voice and continuing the great work fundraising for our school. 

Thanks for a wonderful term. Our children are tired but largely very happy. It's been a great time for learning and growing. And, Spring has certainly sprung.

Well, l just have to end this message with what many in our community are thinking... Go Hawks!
