Socktober: Putting Our Faith into Action
On Friday 16 October, our St Joseph’s school community will come together to celebrate Socktober Crazy Sock Day, putting our faith into action by supporting Catholic Mission and making a difference in the lives of others. Inspired by Jesus’ call to love one another and care for those in need, students are invited to wear their craziest, brightest and most colourful socks to school! Families are also encouraged, where possible, to make a donation to our Socktober fundraiser. This year, our fundraising efforts will support Catholic Mission’s work in Malawi, helping children and communities access essential resources, including education, nutritious food and clean water.
“Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” – Matthew 25:40
Socktober is a wonderful opportunity for our students to recognise that living our faith means putting love into action. Through simple acts of kindness, compassion and generosity, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Wear your crazy socks, spread kindness and help make a difference!
