Principal's Report

Principal’s Report

Welcome back to Term 4, everyone! I hope all our students had a great break. It’s been good to be back after my leave and catching up with everyone, and it’s been a great first week. Students have returned ready to go, and there’s already lots of great work happening in classrooms.

Our Year 12s have one more week of classes before their celebration morning next Friday. After that, they’ll start preparing for exams, which kick off with English on 27th October. It’s a big moment for them, and I’d like to wish them all the best for the final stretch.

We’re happy to welcome Gary Salisbury back to Rochy. Gary will be taking Sarah Pollard’s Year 11 English classes while she’s on leave for the term.

A big thanks to Mitch Bright and Dylan Cuttriss for stepping up while I was away. The school ran smoothly, which says a lot about their leadership and the capacity of our staff. Dylan will now return to his Year 7 English classes.

There’s lots to look forward to this term, with plenty of activities and events planned including camps later this term for many of our students. Our Year 8s are heading to Anglesea, our Year 9s are off to Sydney, and we also have the Duke of Ed and Outdoor Ed camps.

Cheers,

Matt Koutroubas
