SOCKTOBER - Social Justice Action for Holy Family
Dear Parents and Carers
This year our school will be participating in Catholic Mission’s Socktober event to raise money for the people of Malawi in Africa.
We will be holding a special Socktober Event at Holy Family on Thursday 22nd October. On this day students can wear their soccer clothes and crazy socks for a gold coin donation.
Students will also be participating in soccer events to raise extra money for this cause. They will be using sockballs for this, that they have made from recycled materials.
We are asking families to donate any recycled materials that can be used to make Sockballs:
- Old T-Shirts
- Socks
- Plastic bags
- Yarn/String
It would be appreciated if these items could be brought into school by Wednesday 14th October.
