Your kids are wonderful!

I had two occasions this week where two visitors to our school, with experience in other schools, commented on how wonderful your children are.

"They are just so calm, but full of joy."

"They are so respectful towards us, and seem so relaxed, they are really well behaved."

I hadn't asked these people for comments about our children, but they were compelled to offer them.

I am so proud of who they are, but also, who they are becoming. They make mistakes....as they should as children, but I love the way they accept responsibility and demonstrate real care for others.

I hope you are proud of them...I am!

Thank you Miss Phuong

We have had a remarkable young lady on placement for social work with us for the past four months. Miss Phuong has been a connection that has been so strong with the children and staff. She has made such great connections and there were many tears shared Thursday as she finished. She moves onto a great job with Headspace, having learned so much here, but we are also the better for her expertise. Mr Macmillan continues this partnership with Federation University which has been so great so far.

Simple Joy

It has been beautiful to see our students create wonderful sandcastles. They truly have become works of art.

What is so special is the simplicity. A great reminder coming to the school holidays of the power of simple things and that entertainment doesn't have to cost money. I hope that you can have some simple times, just as I will be having with my children, with a focus on getting the training wheels off my son's bike!

School Returns

School returns on the 5th of October.

A reminder that the school closures on the 30th of October and 2nd November,

The good news is we will move into our new building on the 4th November!

Prayer

A Prayer For Connection with Creation and Each Other

From: Bishop Christopher Coyne

I thank you, Lord God, for the gift of creation, “for the beauty of the earth, for the glory of the skies,” for the abundance that we have which over and around us lies.

I thank you, Lord God, for the gift of life — my life, the lives of all whom I treasure as family and friends, and the lives of all humanity who I know as my brothers and sisters.

Our reflection:

May these holidays allow us to experience nature, the great outdoors and have time connecting as a family.

Amen.
