Mordialloc College Community News
Mr James Evans is one of our HPE teachers and he recently received a prestigious award from Lifesaving Victoria for 33 years of service and over 3800 hours of volunteer patrolling hours.
This Australian National Medal was established by the Commonwealth in 1975 recognising long and dedicated service in organisations that protect our community; for Life Saving Victoria it honours demonstrated outstanding commitment.
To be eligible, members must serve in critical frontline roles such as patrolling members, lifeguards, rescue and helicopter crew, emergency response personnel, or IRB offshore crews.
A minimum of 30 hours of patrol every season for at least 15 years where members put themselves at risk to keep others safe.
This medal represents a commitment to our Mordialloc community, everyone at Mordialloc College would like to offer James a huge congratulations!
