Year 6 Newsletter Snapshot

On Wednesday, 10 June, our Year 6 students participated in an engaging smoothie bar incursion. Students were tasked with designing their own smoothie and worked in teams to create a Shark Tank-style pitch, which included calculating the cost of their smoothie, developing a slogan, choosing a theme, designing a product label, and creating a mascot.

 Year six students participated in a Mini Boss incursion.  They taught us about business and economics. We created a market plan for a Shark Tank pitch. We had to create a slideshow about our smoothie and why people should come to our shop.  We created delicious smoothies and got to decide what we put in them.  My favourite part was creating the smoothies because they tasted really delicious! (VT)

On Wednesday 10 June,  the Year 6s had a smoothie incursion as a treat after camp. We made smoothies, created Google Slides, added music, a mascot, and more! My favourite part was making the slides with my group and presenting them. (Brianna)

During the smoothie incursion, I enjoyed working with my friends and liked the person who taught us. (Amon)

I liked planning how to run a business and enjoyed tasting the smoothies.  (SR)

 Year 6s participated in a smoothie incursion. My favourite part of the day was getting to design the smoothies as a group.  We showed teamwork and co-operation, and we worked together to create a delicious, fruity smoothie.  (Harper)

I liked making smoothies because it was fun, and we all worked together to make the smoothies. I also liked making the slides because it was enjoyable. (Bianca)

Something I enjoyed during the smoothie incursion was choosing various types of fruits to create our smoothie. I loved drinking the smoothies and tasting the different flavours. (Payton) 

I liked the Smoothie bar incursion. Everything about it was just really good (Jacob)

I enjoyed the delicious smoothies. I also liked it when my team won the Shark Tank presentation and the marketing topic. (Florence) 

On Wednesday, the 10th of June, the Year Sixes had a smoothie incursion. My favourite part was drinking the smoothies. We made a delicious smoothie, and it was very tasty. (Ruby)

 My favourite part of our smoothie incursion was the opportunity to work with students I would not usually work with. It was a very enjoyable experience, and I hope I can bring these life skills to my teenage years and beyond. (Eliza)

We made smoothies, and it was really fun. I enjoyed working with my group because everyone shared their ideas and chose the ingredients. My favourite part was creating the smoothie together and seeing how it turned out. It was cool to try what we made and see if all our choices worked. Overall, it was a fun group activity, and I really enjoyed it. (Alessia) 

I enjoyed drinking the smoothies and designing the Shark Tank pitch. (Ari)

I enjoyed creating a very yummy smoothie with my friends and making a slideshow for our Shark Tank presentation. (Sadie)

 My favourite part of the day was designing and bringing our Michael Jackson-themed smoothie stall to life. I loved working in a team of people I wouldn't usually work with. The day helped with team building and was overall lots of fun. (Tala)
