Italian Day

Italian Day Monday 19th October
This year we will be celebrating Italian day with the theme of Ancient Rome. Italian day celebrations will be on Monday 19th October. It would be lovely to see all the students dressed up on the day. Some costume ideas would be: Roman God or Goddess, Roman Emperor, Roman Soldier, Roman man, woman or child or a Roman Gladiator. A simple toga can be made out of a bed sheet or a costume could be put together simply with an oversized t-shirt, belt, rope or scarf. Here are some ideas:
Here is a youtube link showing you how to make a toga using a bedsheet:

It is only optional to dress up as an Ancient Roman, students can also dress up in the Italian colours – green, white and red. It would be preferable for students to wear an item that matches the theme of the day or just the Italian colours only please - no sporting tops/outfits unless they are green, white or red.
There will be many fun activities organised for the day including an Italian show, rotational activities and creating a Roman bulla ( good luck charm).
We will be having a parade in the morning starting at 9.10am parents are more than welcome to stay and watch the parade. The parade will be out on the basketball courts.
Looking forward to a great day!
