Our annual School Swimming Carnival will be held on Friday, 27th November at Caringbah Leisure Centre for students in Years 2 – 5. This event is classified as a normal school day and all students are expected to attend.
We look forward to parents attending or volunteering their assistance at this event. Please ensure that you have completed all the Compass event consent and registration forms for your child prior to the carnival.
Kindergarten and Year One students will participate in fun and fitness activities on this day at school assisted by our Year Six students.

At Our Lady of Fatima, we are committed to nurturing leadership in every student. Throughout their schooling, students are encouraged to develop and demonstrate leadership qualities by collaborating with others, building teamwork skills, and actively contributing to the life of the school and parish. These experiences help foster personal growth and strengthen our school community.
This term, our Year 5 students are invited to reflect on what it means to be a leader and consider nominating themselves for the roles of School Captain, Vice Captain and Colour Sports Captain for 2027.
The nomination process will commence in Week 4, during which students and parents will be provided with further details and guidance about the steps involved.
During the 2027 school year, the students will also have the opportunity to participate in a range of leadership opportunities.
Student leadership provides all of our Year 6 students the opportunity to live out our school motto:
“To Love and Serve under your Protection”.

Next year, our school is implementing the new NSW syllabus documents for Human Society and Its Environment (HSIE), Science and Technology, and Personal Development and Health.
These new syllabuses provide students with engaging, relevant learning experiences that support the development of critical thinking, problem-solving, inquiry skills, wellbeing, and active citizenship. Our teachers have been participating in professional learning and collaborative planning to ensure a smooth transition to the new curriculum.
Through these syllabus changes, students will:
Explore their understanding of communities, history, geography, and citizenship through the HSIE curriculum.
Investigate scientific concepts and develop technological skills through hands-on, inquiry-based learning in Science and Technology.
Build their knowledge and skills to support personal wellbeing, healthy decision-making, respectful relationships, and active lifestyles through PDHPE.
Parents are invited to visit the NESA website for further information about the curriculum reforms.
