Dear Parents and Carers,
Last week we celebrated the special gift of our grandparents and grandfriends in our lives. It was a beautiful opportunity for our students to share their learning, showcase their classrooms and spend precious time with the people who hold such a special place in their lives.

Grandparents bring a wealth of love, wisdom, stories and experiences to our children's lives. Their presence reminds us of the importance of family, connection and the special bonds between generations.
Thank you to all our grandparents and special friends for joining us and making the
day so memorable. We are truly grateful for the love, support and joy you bring to our school community. It was certainly a day filled with smiles, special memories and hearts full of gratitude!

Staffing for 2027 is well underway at OLF and across many of our schools in the area. It is an exciting time with many new possibilities. So it is with mixed emotions we will be saying goodbye to Ms Mikayla Giovenco at the end of this year who has accepted a full time position at St John Bosco Engadine from 2027. Ms Giovenco has contributed enormously in her short time with us, especially with our younger students teaching Kindergarten for the last three years. She has built some really positive relationships with the staff, students and parents and we will miss her dedication, her professionalism, her energy and enthusiasm. It is a very exciting time for Ms Giovenco and we know she will be an asset to the Bosco community in many ways. We will keep her in our prayers and wish her all the best for the future.

This week we celebrated All Saints and All Souls Day in our Church. These feast days are special celebrations where we reflect on the lives of the saints and remember the souls of the faithfully departed, especially our loved ones who we pray are granted eternal rest. Please watch this short YouTube clip to reflect on the significance of this month.
