Each week we love to celebrate any students who may have achieved something significant during the past week; sporting events, dancing, baptisms, theatre, music achievements, new babies etc. both inside school and outside school.

Please email reception@dcs.tas.edu.au with the details (we would love a photo too!) so we can celebrate together as a community.

NWPSSA Twilight Carnival Success

Congratulations to Amarli, Madison (both Year 3) and Indianna (Year 4).  They have all been selected to participate in the State Primary Athletic Carnival in a North West team in Launceston on Friday 8th May.

The girls have all done an amazing job, from first being selected to participate at the NWPSSA Athletic Carnival in Penguin along with 30 other DCS students, to then being selected to participate at the NWPSSA Twilight Carnival last week, where only 6 DCS students were invited to participate.

We wish you all the very best at the State Primary Athletic Carnival!

Basketball Tasmania Primary Schools Basketball Tournament

Congratulations to Joash, Vivaan, Hudson P, River, Hudson M, Jet and Seth who all participated in Basketball Tasmania's Primary Schools Basketball Tournament over the weekend.

The boys played four games of basketball over two days against teams from right along the north west coast.  They faced some tough competition but gave it their all. Well done boys and a special thank you to everyone who assisted the team with coaching, refereeing and scoring.
