Cross Country

What an incredible day we had at our School Cross Country 2 weeks ago! I want to begin by saying how proud I am of every single student who took part. Cross Country is not just about coming first or winning a ribbon — it’s about showing resilience, determination, and the courage to keep going even when things get tough.

We saw students running through tired legs and encouraging their classmates along the way. Some students sprinted to the finish, while others showed amazing perseverance by simply refusing to give up. Every single effort mattered, and every student should feel proud of what they achieved.

One of the best things about Cross Country is that it teaches us important lessons that go far beyond sport. It teaches us that success comes from practice, effort, and a positive mindset. It reminds us that challenges are not something to avoid, but something we can overcome together.

To those who placed in the event — congratulations on your fantastic achievement. Your hard work paid off. But to every student who participated, I want you to know this: finishing the race, trying your best, and showing determination and our school value of resilience is just as important.

Thank you to all the teachers, staff, and families who supported the event, and thank you students for making the day such a success.

Let’s give everyone who participated in the Cross Country a huge round of applause!

I would also like to wish luck to those students competing on Friday at the Campaspe Cross Country at Jack Eddy Oval. Stand up those students please. Well done for qualifying for the next level and good luck! Can we give those students a round of applause.

Now for what we have all been waiting for – knowing who the Cross Country Champion House is this year. To work it out, I gave all participants two points for their house, then 3rd place finishers received an extra point, 2nd place an extra two points and 1st place getters an extra 3 points towards the overall tally.

In 4th place with 71 points, Barra – Yellow House

3rd place with 75 points, Djarring – Red House

2nd place with 76 points, Gurburr – Green House

And 1st place with 92 points Burnanga – Blue House

Congratulations Blue house for winning overall house champion
