Magnify Matters Podcast 

The latest episode of Magnify Matters explores why effective teaching is deliberate, informed and refined over time. 

In this episode, Tim Edwards (Catholic Education Sandhurst, Assistant Director: Learning and Teaching) is joined by Dr Nathaniel Swain — teacher, instructional coach and founder of Think Forward Educators — to unpack what great teaching looks like in today’s classrooms. Drawing on the science of learning and Nathaniel’s experience across schools, universities and systems, the conversation focuses on clarity over complexity and making every minute of learning count. 

Together, they explore the importance of explicit instruction, strong knowledge foundations, structured and responsive teaching, and creating challenge without overloading teachers or learners — all closely aligned with the principles underpinning Magnify Sandhurst.

School Athletics

School athletics will be held on Friday the 15th of May at the school oval. Years 3-6 will take place between 12:10pm and 1:40pm and Junior Unit (Foundation -Year 2) will take place between 2:20-3pm. A whole school presentation will follow at 3pm-3:15pmin the Amphitheatre. Student's will work on preparation for the athletics events with Mr Wilkinson in P.E. leading up to the day.
