From the Leadership Team

Dear GPS Community

As we approach the halfway point of 2026, I reflect on the year so far with immense pride, satisfaction and gratitude. Regularly visiting classrooms and learning areas, I am continually inspired by the high-quality teaching and the enthusiastic, focused engagement of our students. These moments remind me just how fortunate I am to lead our wonderful school.

This time also marks one year since we launched the first element of our Cultural Framework: our school values—Respect, Curiosity and Endeavour. These values have become integral to everything we do at Greenwith Primary School. It has been rewarding to see our students not only embrace these values but actively refer to them in their daily learning and interactions.

As we head towards the mid-year break, I want to thank our dedicated staff for their ongoing commitment. Their efforts ensure our learning environments are respectful, spark curiosity, and encourage every student to be the best they can be.

I look forward to a positive and rewarding second half of the year together.

Kind Regards

Darren

Payments for incursions, excursions, camps and SAPSASA events

At Greenwith Primary School, we are committed to providing all students with rich and engaging learning opportunities, both within and beyond the classroom.

Participation in incursions, excursions, camps and SAPSASA events plays a vital role in extending student learning and experiences. To ensure these opportunities can proceed as planned, it is essential that all payments or payment arrangements are finalised by the stated due date.

Due dates are clearly outlined in the EdSmart consent form, with reminder emails sent in the lead-up. Please note that late payments cannot be accepted under any circumstances.

Careful consideration is given when setting due dates to balance providing families with sufficient notice and meeting strict booking and payment deadlines required by external providers. When deadlines are not met, there is a significant risk of cancellations or increased costs, which can impact all students and families involved.

We appreciate your cooperation in supporting the smooth organisation of these valuable learning experiences.

Mid-Year Reports

Teachers have started working on putting together their mid-year reports for students. For families that had students enrolled at Greenwith Primary School in 2025, your access to your child’s report through the Sentral for Parents app would not have changed.

For new families and students, please ensure the Parents for Sentral app has been downloaded from your phone's app store. Your child’s access key would have been provided to you earlier this year and will need to be populated within the app to connect to your child’s profile. Please contact the school if you are encountering any problems with the Sentral for Parents app.

Reports will be released at 3:10pm on Wednesday 1st of July (Term 2, Week 10).

School Uniform Shop Reminder

A friendly reminder to all families that the Uniform Shop is open during the following hours:

  • Tuesday: 8:30am – 9:30am
  • Thursday: 2:30pm – 3:30pm

Outside of these hours, all uniform orders must be placed through the Qkr! app.

2026 School Fees Now Overdue

We kindly remind families that any outstanding school fees are now overdue. Please arrange payment at your earliest convenience via the Qkr! app.

For families who may be eligible for School Card, please submit your application online as soon as possible to ensure timely processing. Please remember that a new application is required each school year.

If you have any questions or require assistance with payments or the School Card process, our finance team is here to help. Please contact the school office for support.

Attendance

In South Australia, all school children up to the age of 16 are required by law to attend school regularly. Everyday your child attends school counts, as regular attendance and being on time everyday helps students to:

  • develop a sense of belonging
  • develop and maintain friendships
  • be more engaged at school
  • progress with their learning
  • experience success at school

It is important that students develop habits of regular attendance at any early age, beginning from the time they are enrolled.

If your child is absent, please notify the school or class teacher of the reason for the absence through the Sentral app, email, or a phone call.
