College Principal Report

As I reflect on the time since our last newsletter, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride in all we’ve achieved together as a school community. With 2024 coming to a close, it’s the perfect time to celebrate the incredible milestones we’ve reached. From innovative changes in our classrooms to impactful community initiatives, this year has truly showcased the heart and spirit of Keysborough College.

We have just completed another successful rollout of the Head Start program. Both staff and students have embraced the changes to timetables with enthusiasm, setting us up for an even stronger 2025. It’s been inspiring to see how smoothly everyone has adapted, demonstrating our shared commitment to continuous improvement and excellence in education.

Another standout moment was the Keysborough College Gift Drive, which brought our community together in the true spirit of giving. At the Acacia campus, we proudly presented thousands of gifts to representatives from 20 local primary schools. The event was made even more special by the support of corporate sponsors and the presence of distinguished guests, including our SEIL and Network Chair. With heartfelt speeches, our talented school band performing Christmas carols, and a wonderful atmosphere of generosity, this event brought our RED values—Respect, Excellence, and Diversity—to life. It’s a wonderful example of the dedication our staff show in supporting our students and the wider community, helping to bring extra joy to families this festive season.

On a personal note, I want to express my gratitude to each of you for making me feel so welcome in my first year as Principal. To our incredible staff, thank you for your dedication and hard work—it’s inspiring to see the impact you have on our students every day. To our students, thank you for your energy and passion for learning. Watching you grow and succeed has been an absolute privilege. 

As we head into the holidays, I wish you all a safe, relaxing, and joyful break. May your festive season be filled with love, laughter, and quality time with family and friends. Merry Christmas, and I look forward to seeing you all in 2025 for another exciting year at Keysborough College.
