Congratulations to Bronte and Arlen for both representing our school at the School Sport Victoria - Southern Metro Region Cross Country Carnival.
Both boys put in a tremendous effort at the District and Division Carnivals to get this far.
Their ongoing effort and extra training throughout the year are truly commendable.
Both boys ran exceptionally well against tough opposition. Arlen crossed the finish line in an impressive 19th place, while Bronte followed closely behind in 27th. Both showed incredible determination on a challenging course. The weather was far kinder making for a much more enjoyable event compared to the wild conditions at Division. There were a few unexpected moments — Bronte managed to complete his race despite a loose shoe, after his double knot came undone mid-race (fortunately, he didn’t lose the shoe entirely!). Well done to our runners — you’ve done us proud!
Our annual House Athletics Day will be held on Thursday 7th August at the incredible Lakeside Stadium! The Compass event for consent and payment has been published. We kindly ask families to confirm this as soon as possible. Your prompt response is greatly appreciated.
To make this day a success, we are seeking a large number of parent volunteers to assist with running events, timing, and recording results. If you are available and keen to help, please sign up via the link sent out by Amanda McConaghy.
We look forward to a fantastic day of fun, fitness, and house pride!
We’re excited to share that the Compass event for consent and payment for the upcoming Year 3/4 Soccer Gala Day has now gone out.
Our Year 3 and 4 students will have the opportunity to represent our school at the Southport District Soccer Gala Day, which will be held at Murphy Reserve, Port Melbourne on Friday 15th August. On the day, students will take part in modified soccer matches against neighbouring schools from our district — a fantastic chance to build skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
If you have a Working with Children Check and are available to assist on the day, we would love your support! Please email rebecca.rosen@education.vic.gov.au or let your child’s classroom teacher know.
We look forward to a fun and active day for our Year 3/4 students. Please ensure consent and payment are confirmed via Compass at your earliest convenience — thank you!
We are pleased to announce that our soccer team will be competing in the Beachside Division Soccer Play Off next term.
📅 Date: Monday 11th August📍 Venue: Kingston Heath Soccer Complex
This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to represent our school at division level and showcase their soccer skills against other schools in our region.
Miss Osman will provide more details, including team information, consent, and arrangements, early in Term 3.
We look forward to a great day of competition and team spirit!
