Official Opening
Wednesday 31st January
On Wednesday 31st January we were privileged to host the official opening of Brinbeal Secondary College which took place at 2pm. To commensurate our opening we were joined by:
- Deputy Premier and Minister for Education, Ben Carroll MP,
- Local Member for Tarneit, Mr Dylan Wright MP,
- Representatives of the Bunurong Land Council and VAEAI (Victorian Aboriginal Education Association).
- Representatives for ADCO Construction, Brand Architects, DesignInc, Pomeroy Pacific and the VSBA - who have all been involved in the design and construction of our college
- Senior representatives from the Department of Education
We were especially proud to have all our students involved and a significant number of families who made the time in their day to join us.
The event included a school tour for the Deputy Premier and followed by the official proceedings, that included Welcome to Country & Smoking Ceremony performed by Bunurong elders, speeches and official opening by the Deputy Premier, ribbon cutting and photos with students.
