Principal's Message
A BIG welcome to our whole school community!
It with great pleasure to officially welcome all members of our school community to Brinbeal Secondary College as we begin this significant journey in providing a new secondary college for the Tarneit community. The Brinbeal News publication for our school community will be a regular opportunity for us to share with you all the amazing happenings within our school and community.
On Wednesday 31st January, it was a significant milestone to welcome the first students, staff, parents and career's to our school for our first ever day with students and classes. As we opened our gates and welcomed our students and their families for the first time, we could see and hear the excitement. Seeing the smiles and joy on the faces of our students as they began to explore their new school, the pride displayed by our students wearing our uniform and excitement of meeting our staff team, was a very memorable day. Thank you to the many parents and carers who joined us for official opening with our students.
Our staff team had been hard at work long before January 30th and have been busy throughout January preparing the school for student’s first day. A huge thank you is extended to our entire team and those members who dedicated many hours during what should have been their holidays to preparing our school, ensuring everything was ready for our students on day 1. A massive thank you to our whole team for the smooth start that you have provided to students and families.
As a staff team we are committed to providing a diverse and inclusive school with our students and your children. We encourage you to partner with us as we build our high expectations for our school community as a whole. Your feedback is always welcome and I can be contacted on 03 8001 3333 or via email at Brinbeal.SC@education.vic.gov.au
Kind Regards,
Mr. Simon Haber
College Principal

Attendance
Your child’s attendance at school is critical.
“Missing school can have a big impact on students academically and socially. It can affect their test results, just as importantly, it can affect their relationships with other students, and lead to social isolation.
There is no safe number of days for missing school – each day a student misses puts them behind, and can affect their educational outcomes.”
