Sacred Heart Happenings

The Jump Rope for heart program has finished for 2023, thanks so much to our amazing families who supported our children with their fundraising. As a school we managed to raise a total of $5136 for the Heart Foundation. The children's skipping skills have incredibly improved over the past 8 weeks and they have enjoyed keeping active through regularly skipping.

Year 5/6 have been doing a design and technology unit that focuses on where food and fibres come from. As a part of this unit, we had an assessment where students designed a healthy meal that met a specific design brief: what ingredients they needed, where these can be sourced, how much it will cost, the dietary requirements in the class, what equipment they need to create the meal and the health and safety requirements for making the meal. 

Safe to say it was a wonderful experience and we enjoyed every bite!
