Get Ready for Book Week at Woodville Gardens!

Book Week is almost here! Next week, our school will be celebrating the wonderful world of books with a range of exciting activities.

The highlight of the week is our Annual Book Week Parade, taking place on Monday, 24 August at 2:00pm in the School Gym. We warmly invite all families to join us as our students showcase their creativity and love for reading by dressing up as their favourite book characters.

Please arrive in time for a 2:00pm start and remember that, in the interest of student safety, we ask that families do not take images of students for social media during the parade. After the parade, students will return to their classes as usual and will be dismissed at the normal end-of-day time. For safety reasons, please do not take your child home directly after the parade.

We look forward to celebrating Book Week as a school community and hope to see you there!

Reconciliation Action Plan

We are pleased to share our newly  approved Reconciliation Plan, which reflects our school community’s ongoing commitment to reconciliation and to building respectful, meaningful relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The plan provides a clear framework for how we will embed reconciliation across our school—in our learning, relationships, events, curriculum and everyday practices.

We look forward to working together with students, families, staff and our wider community to bring the plan to life and ensure reconciliation remains an ongoing and shared commitment within our school. Please see attached the Woodville Gardens Reconciliation Plan that has been reviewed and approved by Reconciliation Australia's Narragunnawali team.
