Who would have thought that foldong paper could be so much fun?

Our Preps have been exploring many different paper craft techniques including fringing, curling, concertinas and springs. Sounds like a bit of fun, but did you know that paper folding improves fine mototr skills, spatial awareness and patience, and allows for a mindful activity which calms the nervous system and allows creativity to flow! Here are some examples our our Preps' Funny Folded Faces activity.

In the 5/6 classes, students have been exploring Andrew Scott's work. He is an artist who expresses his sense of being trapped, and uses the frame itself to show his desire to escape. Student used his work as an example, and had their subject interacting with the real world, with some brilliant ideas coming forth! They had to get creative about how to bring their ideas to life, too!
