Term 4 in the Library

Week 8 has arrived, and with the end of the school year in sight, the library is full of readers enjoying these final weeks. Students are diving into new stories, revisiting old favourites, and making the most of the time left before the holidays. There are still plenty of great books waiting on the shelves, so pop in and discover something wonderful as we head toward the year’s finish!

Book Club

Book Club Issue 8 orders have now closed. Thank you to all the families who placed an order, we truly appreciate your support!

All orders will be received and distributed before the end of term, just in time for some wonderful holiday reading or Christmas surprises. If you would like your order kept aside as a Christmas gift, please let us know and we will hold it at school for you.

As always, Book Club is a voluntary program, and there is no obligation to purchase.

Premier’s Reading Challenge (PRC)

The Premier’s Reading Challenge has wrapped up for 2025. Last week, students received their certificates of completion. If a student did not receive a certificate, this means they will be receiving a Gold Award, which will be distributed soon. A Gold Award is given to students who have completed the PRC for 4 years.

From the Premier’s Reading Challenge: “Thank you for a wonderful year of reading!”

This year, a record 443,946 students across NSW participated in the PRC, with 340,175 students completing the Challenge across 2,637 schools. Together, students read an incredible 9,568,600 books, with the most-read book of the year being The Truck Cat by Deborah Frenkel and Danny Snell.

Keep an eye out for next year’s PRC, it will open on Monday, 23 February 2026.
