Once Upon Whittlesea

This week, students across the school have been immersed in Once Upon Whittlesea, our whole-school narrative writing unit. Throughout this learning experience, students have explored the craft of writing, developing their ability to create engaging characters, settings, problems and solutions while applying the writing skills they have been learning in class.

We are excited to invite families to celebrate our students' hard work and creativity at our Once Upon Whittlesea Showcase. Classrooms will be open from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm on Wednesday, 24th June 2026, providing an opportunity for students to proudly share their published narratives and reflect on their growth as writers.

This showcase is a wonderful chance for families to see the learning that takes place in our classrooms and to engage in conversations with their children about the writing process. 

We encourage all families who are able to attend to visit classrooms and enjoy the impressive range of stories created by our young authors.
