Feast of the Assumption 

15th August is the Feast of the Assumption. A day where we give thanks and commemorate the life of Mary our Mother. 

Families are invited to join us for a Whole School Liturgy tomorrow at 9.15am in the Church to honour this day. 

Friday 21st August Drew Lane is coming back!!!

Our beautiful school song Ties of Faith was written by Drew Lane with students from our school about 4 years ago now. Many of the songs we sing during Masses and in our RE classes are from Butterfly House Music and written by Drew Lane and his colleague Andrew Chinn. Students will enjoy a workshop with Drew during the day.

Families are invited to join us at 2.30pm in the hall for our whole school workshop and sing along so you can see what we have learnt during the day. 

A bit about Drew

Drew Lane is a a songwriter, accomplished musician, sound engineer and a performing arts teacher of nearly 30 years.  

He has written many original musicals for primary schools, including “The Tree Of Life”, “A Different Normal” , “Somewhere To Fight For”, “Westall ’66” and also collaborated with Adam Wallace on the “Hatman” graphic novel. 

 His first CD with Butterfly Music was "Love, Faith, Hope", and has since released four more, including “We Are One”, “Song of the Spirit”, and “God Is Everywhere”, “We Remember”, and his latest “Walk Gently Together”. 

 He is currently a performing arts teacher at St John Vianney’s Primary in Parkdale, VIC and was for several years a lecturer in Performing Arts at the Australian Catholic University in Melbourne.
