FREE family fun activities scheduled for the upcoming school holidays at the Phillip Island Information Centre

Island Whale Festival

I just wanted to let the Our Lady Star of the Sea community know about this year’s Island Whale Festival that will be taking place at Berninneit from Friday 5th - Sunday 7th July (middle weekend of these school holidays).

This year’s Festival Hub will be full of interesting exhibits and talks, lots of art and craft activities, virtual reality and an immersive room. Festival Hub Passes are just $10 for a family (2A+4C) and $5 for single entry and can be purchased here (& also available on the day at the venue):https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1226086

There will also be free live music from local artists, lawn games and fun activities at the Cowes library. Other venues include Woolamai Beach SLSC (the Festival home of the Dolphin Research Institute) for spot a whale talks, the Nobbies Centre (with a pop-up Art Show Sat & Sun) and Clay & Co Studio will be running drop-in workshops across the weekend. There will also be a screening of the Ocean Film Festival on Thursday 4th July at Berninneit and Saturday evening will be the Whales Wine & Wisdom event with a live recording for ABC Radio Big Ideas followed by a screening of the docu-film The Big Blue.
