From the Classroom

The Foundation students have had a wonderful and busy end to the term, filled with learning, laughter and special memories.
One of our biggest achievements was completing our learning of all 26 letters of the alphabet. Throughout the semester, students have worked hard developing their early literacy skills and have enjoyed meeting the many characters from the Little Learners Love Literacy program. There were certainly some clear favourites among the class, with Wilbur Whale, Max Fox and Jack Jellyfish proving to be the most popular characters. The students loved learning the stories, sounds and actions associated with each character, making their literacy journey both engaging and memorable.
The highlight of the term was undoubtedly our Grandparents' Morning. We were delighted to welcome so many grandparents and special family members into our classrooms to share in the students' learning. The children proudly shared their History "All About Me" books, showcasing the work they have completed throughout the unit and sharing special memories about themselves and their families. Visitors and students also enjoyed spending time reading together, playing games and chatting about school life. The morning concluded with the students performing a fun and entertaining song about grandparents, which brought plenty of smiles to the audience. We then enjoyed a shared morning tea together. It was truly heartwarming to see so many happy faces and to witness the special connections between our students and their grandparents.
Thank you to all the grandparents and family members who joined us and helped make the morning such a memorable celebration. We are incredibly proud of all that our Foundation students have achieved this term and wish everyone a safe, happy and restful break.
