International Program

As Term 4 just started a couple of weeks ago, our International Student programhas been filled with outstanding achievements and excited moments.
Honouring Our Year 12 Graduates
We are incredibly proud to announce that four of our international students have officially graduated from Year 12! They are now entering their final preparation phase for the crucial VCE examinations. We wish them the absolute best of luck as they strive to get into their dream universities. To mark the end of their high school journey, our program hosted a special celebratory lunch inweek 2, allowing students and staff to share fond memories and enjoy their final moments together at school.
A special congratulations goes out to two of our exceptional graduates for receiving the Academic Excellence Awards for Unit 4:
Tober FENG: Awarded for outstanding performance in Maths Methods.
Una Yu: Awarded for outstanding performance in EAL (English as an Additional Language).
Well done, Tober and Una!
Supporting Our Future Viewbank Students
In week 1, I visited Macleod College to check in on our future students who are studying language, representing the overseas parents to participate in their Parent-Teacher Student Interviews (PTSI).
These students are making steady progress in their language skills while actively participating in various school activities. We are looking forward to welcoming them into the Viewbank family in Term 1 2027!
VCE Pathways and Visa updates Seminar for Year 11s
To ensure our Year 11 international students are well-prepared for their upcoming final year, the program invited experienced migration and education counsellors to conduct a specialized VCE and Migration Information Session. This seminar was designed to give Year 11 students an early, comprehensive understanding of the VCE application and enrolment processes, ensuring they can approach Year 12 with clear goals and confidence.
Open your home to a student and make a lasting difference!
Viewbank College is seeking local families who would be interested in hosting male international students while they study at our school.
Homestay hosting is a wonderful opportunity to share Australian culture, build meaningful connections and help a young person feel at home while studying away from their family.
Host families provide a safe, comfortable and supportive home environment to help students settle into life in Australia.
Interested in becoming a host family, or know someone who might be interested?
