Term 4 Lunch Clubs

We encourage all students to get involved in one of the many Lunch Clubs on offer this term. Running throughout the week during the first half of lunchtime, these clubs provide a great opportunity for students to make new friends, explore their interests and develop new skills in a fun and supportive environment. With a variety of activities to choose from, there is something for everyone! We look forward to seeing students getting involved, trying something new and enjoying these opportunities to connect with others outside the classroom.

Healthy Transitions

The end of the educational year brings changes, both big and small, for children, young people and adults.

Be You In Focus Webinar: Transitions – preparing children and young people for change (Please click to watch)

Everyone reacts differently to change – some find it exciting, some find it stressful, some hardly notice it happened.

Adults use their experience and existing knowledge to predict what changes may be like, and how it may affect them and can develop strategies to help them adjust and cope.

Children and young people don’t often have as much prior knowledge or experience to draw on which can make change more difficult and challenging.

In today's digital world, it is more important than ever to teach our children how to stay safe online. In Term 4, all year levels will participate in an interactive Inform and Empower session designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the online world safely and responsibly.

Each year level will explore age appropriate topics:

  • Prep – Digital Agency: Learning this term will focus on screen time and agency. We will focus on comfortable vs uncomfortable feelings and strategies that can help us navigate uncomfortable situations online.
  • Grades 1/2 – Digital Detectives: Learning this term will focus on developing critical thinking and digital literacy skills. We will also explore what it means to be kind online.
  • Grades 3/4 – Being Safe and Secure: Learning this term will focus on the importance of settings and how they can keep us safe. We will also explore how to identify red flags and navigate unsafe online
  • Grades 5/6 – Critical Thinking: Learning this term will focus on being a critical consumer of AI and how influencers can shape our values. We will also explore strategies for navigating unsafe online interactions.

These sessions aim to empower our students to make safe, responsible, and respectful choices whenever they are online.
