From the Principal's Desk

Week 10
Firstly I'd like to congratulate Mrs Bull on her substantive appointment to Martin's Gully as the Assistant Principal. We are so privileged to have Mrs Bull as part of our school, who not only brings a wealth of knowledge and experience but also a devoted passion to our students.
Congratulations students and parents on another wonderful term at Martin's Gully. As I said last week we have had a very busy and productive term with successes across our sporting, creative and academic platforms. I am so proud of our students and how they love coming to school to learn and be the best they can be every day.
Last week we celebrated World Maths Day. Here is the answer.

da Vinci Success
Last Thursday, students from across Northern NSW took part in the 2026 da Vinci Decathlon which is an exciting academic competition designed to challenge and inspire young minds. Competing in teams across ten disciplines—including engineering, mathematics, code breaking, art & poetry, science, English, ideation, creative producers, cartography, and legacy, students had to collaborate, problem-solve, and showcase their strengths throughout the day.
This year’s theme was , “Time,” and students were encouraged to reflect on the past, engage with the present, and imagine innovative possibilities for the future.
Well done to Year 5 and Year 6 students who participated in the Da Vinci Decathlon. Congratulations to Year 5 who came first in Creative Producers and 3rd in Ideology.
North West Hockey Success
Congratulations to Addie, who was successful in her selection in the Northwest Hockey team travelling to Bathurst in May.
Congratulations Athletes
At the Armidale Athletics presentation night MGPS had age champions and runner up age champions in the 8 boys, 11 girls and 12 boys. Ollie also was the most improved athlete. Ollie and Nixon made club records during the season. We love to hear about our students outside of school.
Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy the time to rest and rejuvenate!
