For the Principal

I hope you all had an enjoyable long weekend. It seems the winter weather is really starting to roll in on us. With this in mind, we encourage students to ensure they are dressed appropriately for the weather, including a jumper for when they are outside, and coats, if they have them. Please make sure these items are clearly labeled.

At the beginning of the school day, we will continue to allow our students to be outside, getting some free air and time with friends. When the weather is wet, or below 5 degrees, we will call a cold weather timetable, where students will begin their day in the classroom. Aside from that, we do ask that all students are outside before school, allowing teachers the change to finalise their day of learning.

Thankyou to Mrs J, Miss Kennedy and our JSC for hosting our Big Freeze event last week. It was definitely a freezing cold day for it.

JSC Big Freeze Fundraiser

On Thursday, our Junior School Council proudly hosted a Big Freeze fundraiser in support of Motor Neurone Disease (MND) research.

Students were encouraged to wear blue, bring along a gold coin donation, and take part in a range of fun activities throughout the day. At recess, students enjoyed the Big Freeze teddy slide challenge, while lunchtime saw students testing their footy skills on the Basketball Court.

The weather certainly lived up to the event's name! With cold temperatures, wind, and rain throughout the day, the "Big Freeze" felt more like a reality than a fundraiser. Despite the wintry conditions, our students showed fantastic enthusiasm and support for the cause.

We are delighted to announce that together we raised $207.40 for MND research. This is a wonderful achievement and reflects the generosity of our school community.

Congratulations to our raffle winners, who went home with some fantastic prizes. Thank you to everyone who donated and participated throughout the day.

The JSC would also like to thank all students, families, and staff who supported the fundraiser. Your generosity helped raise awareness and funds for an important cause and honour the incredible legacy of Neale Daniher.

Thank You, Bunnings!

A big thank you to Bunnings Warehouse, Delacombe, for their generous donation of materials and tools to support hands-on learning at our school.

Their contribution will help provide students with engaging opportunities to create, build, explore, and learn through practical experiences.

We sincerely thank Bunnings for investing in the learning experiences of our students.
