Message from the Principal
St Peter’s School - an empowered faith community to enrich the world.
As always, students and staff have been very busy. Congratulations to our Foundation students for sharing their learning with us last week at assembly. How confidently they presented! Well done to all students and Mrs Hawkins for the preparation of such a wonderful performance!

I am so excited to be able to share that St Peter's School has been successful in their grant application - Suburban Rail Loop Authority COMMUNITY PROJECTS FUND ROUND 2 – COMMUNITY SUPPORT GRANTS.
We are pleased to advise that your application was assessed in line with the Grant Guidelines for this round and the SRLA wishes to offer you funding of $60,232.00.
This is amazing for our community. This money, combined with the P&F fundraising, means we can resurface the basketball court to the rear of the school. I look forward to sharing updated plans in our next newsletter and providing a timeline for completion. We are hoping the final product will look something like this:

On Sunday, students from St Peter's School will receive the Sacrament of Eucharist for the first time. We ask you to keep Adeesha, Justine, Lianne and Eugene in your prayers as they continue their faith journey. See 'Our Faith Journey' page for a special prayer for these students.
Our building program is progressing well. We are at the exciting stage of finalising soft furnishing colours and paint colours. Completion date is early August.
As we near the end of the build, there will be some disruption to access at the Mary St gate. Due to the complete re-surfacing of the area from the gate to the senior building, as of the beginning of next term, Mary St gate will not be in use. We will send details via email of what access will look like from 13 July until the building program finishes in August. We thank you in advance for your flexibility for this short term change.
There is an interesting article on Wellbeing: Healthy Lunches. We love seeing the array of foods students bring to eat at school. We ask you to continue to think about what will fuel their mind and body for a day of learning! This changes as students grow, so involve them in the preparation and choosing of the food.
Our 2025 Annual Report to the School community is now available to read on the school website - https://www.spclayton.catholic.edu.au/policies-1 .

Please put Wednesday 17 June 2:10pm in your calendars as this is the day we will see all the artistic talent in St Peter's!

A BIG thank you for everyone who supported our fundraising event at Bunnings on Saturday 30 May. Our Parents and Friends (P&F) organised an amazing event which has added to the funds we have raised to re surface the basketball court at the rear of the school. Thank you especially to Sandy, Karen and Kelly who were the key coordinators for the event, supported by our class reps: Hong, Aarti, Dara, Kim and Reji. To every parent who helped out on the day- a very BIG thank you.
Please read the Parents and Friends (P&F) page for more details and photos.
If you have a child, or have a friend with a child, eligible for Foundation in 2027, please complete an enrolment form by June 25. Enrolment forms can be accessed by clicking on the link below.
