Years F - 2

F/1/2 have been revising our addition and subtraction facts this week, working hard to recall number facts to 10 and apply this knowledge when working with larger numbers. We created doubles and doubles-plus-one ladybugs to help strengthen our understanding of these important concepts.
During Art, students have been using recycled materials from around the classroom and showcasing their creativity by designing artworks of their choice.
In PE, the Foundation students are continuing their Perceptual Motor Program, while the Year 1/2 students have begun their hockey unit. This week, they learnt how to safely hold and control a hockey stick, ensuring it remains below knee height at all times.
We have also enjoyed the lamb visits during school pick-up time. Lambing season is well underway, and the students have loved seeing the new arrivals.
As we head into Week 10, everyone is beginning to feel a little tired, but students are continuing to work hard. To keep energy levels up and maintain focus, we have been incorporating plenty of brain breaks throughout the day.
