Nude Food Challenge

Nude Food Lunchbox Challenge
Last week, Rochester Primary School took part in the Nude Food Lunchbox Challenge as part of Keep Australia Beautiful Week. It was fantastic to see students reducing the amount of rubbish in their lunchboxes and using reusable containers and drink bottles.
Congratulations to 5/6 Elborough/Watson who finished third and 3/4 Ietto/Blackman who finished second. We had a tie for first place, with 5/6 Rass and Prep Pascoe both finishing the entire week with just 21 pieces of rubbish! Both classes enjoyed a well-deserved hot chip lunch.
A special mention goes to 5/6 Nihill, who went from having the most rubbish at the start of the week to just 11 pieces on the final day. This was a fantastic improvement and showed that we can all do our bit.
Students who had zero rubbish also went into our prize draw, with three lucky students winning $25 Rochester Vouchers and many others taking home reusable lunchboxes and drink bottles.
A Shout out to Mr Carroll for organising this opportunity for our students an dhelping raise awareness.
Thank you to all our families for supporting the challenge. Remember, “When you’re out and about... leave only your footprints.”
